School Survival for the Christian Teen

As much as I enjoyed the summertime as a kid, going back to school was very exciting for me. Not necessarily because I was looking forward to learning, but because I was looking forward to a brand new year—making new friends, being a grade older, having the opportunity to start over and try to make better grades, etc.

However, each school year also came with a whole new set of challenges. Especially in high school.

For the next nine months, you’ll be entering the same territory every day, surrounded by people who may or may not be Christian. There will come days when you’re tempted to give up, days when you just don’t feel like doing your homework or even going to school. 1. I can really relate. As a high-school student, while I do go to a Christian school, most of the people around me aren't practicing Christians. It can be really hard at times, especially when I feel like no one around me really understands. Thanks for posting this, Tessa!

Also, are all of the unmarked blog-tour dates still available, or do you want to send me an updated list?

    1. Hey Katia!

I'm still waiting to hear from a couple people who have agreed to participate in the blog tour but have not yet confirmed a date. If I don't hear back from them soon, I'll be sure to let you know. =) Thanks for your interest!

  2. I was very glad, when I was younger, that my mum and dad home schooled me. I don't think I'd have been able to handle being around so many other kids who weren't Christians when I was a new Christian myself. I am so grateful for how God protected me.

    1. I homeschooled for three years in high school, but mainly so I could focus on writing and acting. I very much enjoyed those years of homeschooling. However, I don't think it's necessary for every Christian. Although it's easy to blend in with the world, I do think it's important for there to still be Christians in the public schools. As long as they are spreading God's light in the darkness rather than blending in.

      Thanks for your comment! =)
